Lada became the fourth car brand in Russia

Analysts of the Agency "AUTOSTAT" estimated that Russians spent 60 853 million USD (at the rate 38,47 rubles per dollar) for the purchase of new cars for 2014. The market decline was approximately 268 thousand pieces during this period, the volume in monetary terms (in USD) fell compared with the previous year by 18.1%. Market volume has not decreased in rubles.

It should be noted that the top ten brands gathered more than half (63%) of the total revenue in the Russian market for 2014: Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, KIA, Lada, Nissan, Hyundai, Volkswagen, Renault, Mitsubishi, BMW. Only Lada from domestic producers were in the TOP 10 (revenue is 4105 million), which in terms of revenue takes the fourth place, losing by this measure, more than a quarter (25.4%) compared with 2013.

Toyota confident leader on the Russian market, with a large gap from other brands. Its revenue declined by 7.9% compared to the same period last year is to 6584, 2 million dollars per year.

Almost all brands of TOP-10 showed a negative trend. Only Mercedes-Benz exception with positive revenue (revenue is 4624, 8 million).

Other brands from TOP-25 showed in 2014 falling of volumes of revenue in the range from-1% of (Mazda) up to 41,6% of (Ford).
