Local brands: Sputnik

Sputnik's history began about 2 years ago, and during this time they have released 2 models of backpack, moved from a studio in the city center, which was located in  "Orbit�" shopping center. They confidently asserted themselves throughout the country (Togliatti, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Kazan, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, Izhevsk and other cities).

And while the guys are preparing for the development of the M3 and "capture" backpack market, we managed to meet with the Head of Sputnik - Oleg Koba, 4th year student of Togliatti Academy of Management.

About the name

First, the Sputnik (satellite) is always with you. And Sputnik is something moving forward. It overcomes space, benefiting, delivering new information.

Many people advised us to go to the Cyrillic alphabet, write Sputnik in Russian. But the guys initially decided to write the name in English, and they like how the logo looks now.

About inspiration

The guys are focused on simple, but beauty models. They try to do functional but not bulky backpacks with minimalistic design.

Sputnik team understands that their clients are their reflection!

Made in Russia

The company is focusing to compete with foreign backpack brands. There is an increase in demand for domestic goods, people understood that Russia �an create local brands. This trend has started not so long ago and Sputnik, we can say, is one of the pioneers in this business.

So now people are willing to buy domestic products. "Made in Russia" is quite good. Here in Russia you can make things at a high level, paying great attention to the quality and compete with major European and American brands.
