At the new arena recently returned to the CHL HC Lada hasnt hosted an opponent of such rank yet. So its not surprising that Saturday's match against St. Petersburgs SKA gathered the full stands. In the part of the guests the world champion Ilya Kovalchuk came, and the former head coach of Russia hockey team Vyacheslav Bykov trained SKA.

The SKAs captain Kovalchuk led the way for the whole team in the first match on the road of the season and became the first who lit the room on the Lada-Arena cube. Guests doubled their money seven minutes later as Tony Martensson deftly tipped in a Roman Cervenka effort from distance. In the middle period Stanislav Bocharov all threw the puck guests: Lada again turned out to counterattack 3 against 1, Dmitry Vorobev passed the puck Maxim Susanino, he gave an accurate pass to Stanislav Bocharov, and 71st room owners just threw riding.

Lada's players were enthusiastic and wanted to finish the second period under identical conditions. But SKA goaltender Sakal was at his best. After second intermission it took only three minutes for army to get the advantage in two pucks. Incredibly but in 16 seconds Lada responded SKA in the same way: Martin Zatovic on the crease scored. On the powerplay Ilya Kovalchuk with another thumping shot, got his first hat trick of the season and put the end to the match.
