Togliatti managed to hold a ski race with the veterans of the sport

The city sports Contest of 2020 among pensioners of Tolyatti traditionally started with competitions in cross-country skiing. As emphasized in the AFM "SPORTICO", they were held at the end of last week, even before the announcement of a quarantine for sports competitions.
About 50 people, thanks to vehicles provided by the management of Ekovoz group, gathered for the "last snow" in the most remote corner of the city - the village of Povolzhsky. Sunny weather, well-prepared ski trails and a friendly veteran atmosphere created by participants from three districts of the city contributed to the successful completion of the three-kilometer distance.
On the podium, mostly, were representatives of the Avtozavodsky district, members of the Lada ski club: Lyudmila mokina, Galina Borovskaya, Oleg Tarasov, Yevgeny Pavlov, Vladimir Sorokin. No less honors than the winners were awarded to the oldest Tolyatti resident - 81-year-old skier Mikhail Borodich, who represents the Komsomol district.
Now the city's sports veterans are looking forward to the end of the forced pause in the sports Games and the next Championships - in shooting, draughts and volleyball, explains Sergey Kondratev, Chairman of the Council of sports veterans of Togliatti.
