The memorial to the 50 anniversary of "AvtoVAZ"

In Togliatti there will be a new monument, a skate park and playgrounds.

All this objects will be included into the construction project of a memorial to the 50 anniversary of establishing the "AvtoVAZ" plant.

Recently Alexander Rukovishnikov the honored artist of the Russian Federation, the sculptor, the author of a monument of Tatishchev came to our city. He is projecting a new memorial for Avtograd now. The artist visited a meeting of the Board of Directors in the Togliatti industrial field which took place in the city hall, and shared the sketches.

The memorial will be constructed on the territory between Revolyutsionnaya St. and Victory park of the Avtozavodsky district. It’s offered to equip this territory so that it was interesting to all segments of the population. Among the offers there are a skate park, playgrounds, benches and paths. The monument will be the central element here.

It is worth reminding that the 50 anniversary of "AvtoVAZ" will take place  in 2016. The official birthday of the plant is on July 20th: this day in the 1966 the governmental decree "About the construction of automobile plant in Togliatti" was signed.
